There are a number of ways in which volunteers are able to assist in the area of Social Policy. - Social Work Day at the Legislature -- You can sign up to attend the SW Day at the Legislature event (dates posted every year around November) and help mentor and speak to students in attendance.
- PACE (Political Action for Candidate Elections) -- Volunteers who wish to serve on the PACE committee can email the pace chair at pacechair@naswaz.com for more information.
- Issue Liaison -- If you are an expert in a certain area, sign up to be a contact person for the chapter on that specific issue. The liaison's will also communicate information to the chapter about specific legislative news regarding that issue as well as distribute NASW-AZ legislative information to those networks.
- Public Policy Alerts -- You can do this from your home/office without leaving. Simply sign up for the NASW-AZ public policy alerts and when you get an alert, act on it. See the attachment below, "Respond To Calls For Action.doc".
- Promote the Social Work Reinvestment Act -- Do presentations/casual talks about social work reinvestment and distribute swr cards. Click here for more information.
